Caps & Cans Is Back!
Saturday 25 July, 10am to 4pm Cupra City Garage, St Ann's Square, Manchester
More Amoure started with bread.
My grandmother gave it away every Saturday. To her church, to the local hospital, to anyone who needed it. She never had much, but she never lacked either. That's where the whole idea came from, the belief that givers never lack, and it's the reason this brand exists at all.
So when we say Caps & Cans is back, it truly is back and were doing exactly what Margaret used to do.
What we're doing
On Saturday 25 July, we're taking over the Cupra City Garage on St Ann's Square for the day, and we're running the whole thing as a fundraiser and food drive for Manchester Central Foodbank.
Manchester Central supports over 1,200 people every month across central, east and north Manchester. It's a Trussell network foodbank, and it started in 2013 with a handful of students who saw a need and decided to do something about it. It was the first student-led foodbank in the UK. That's a story we relate to, someone small deciding to act anyway.
Everything raised on the day goes to them. Food, money, all of it.
What's happening on the day
You'll be able to shop the collection in person, which genuinely hits different to seeing it on a screen. The pieces look better in the flesh and we'd rather you judge them that way.
There'll be games running all day. Spin the wheel, roll the dice, and Beat the Clock, where if you stop the timer at exactly ten seconds, with no looking, you walk away with a free track jacket. All or nothing.
There's a raffle too, stacked with prizes donated by brilliant local businesses. Escape rooms, days out, and more coming in every week.
There'll be food, drinks and music running from open to close, with some brilliant local businesses backing the day.
The Fun Bit
Bring a donation, a tin, a packet, or any amount of money, and you get a free go on the games.
That's the whole mechanic. You give something, you get something, and the foodbank gets everything. There'll be collection crates on site, and a QR code linking straight to Manchester Central Foodbank's JustGiving page if you'd rather give from your phone.
If you can't make it but still want to give, you can donate to them directly at: justgiving.com/m-c-f.
Come down
It's free entry and everyone's welcome. Bring a mate, bring your family, bring a tin.
We've always said the world could use more love, and that we make wearing that belief look good. This is what that looks like on a Saturday in Manchester.
See you there.
MORE LUV.
