T-Shirt Size Guide: How to Pick Your Size Online

The easiest way to pick your t-shirt size online is to measure a tee you already love and compare it with the size chart on the product page. It takes two minutes and saves a lot of guessing.

Measure a tee you own

Lay your favourite tee flat on a bed or table. Smooth it out, then measure with a tape measure. You only need two numbers.

What to measure

  • Chest width: straight across, from one armpit seam to the other
  • Length: from the highest point of the shoulder, down to the hem
  • Optional: sleeve length, from the shoulder seam to the cuff

Compare with the size chart

Every brand measures a little differently, so always use the chart on the product page rather than assuming. Find the size with numbers closest to your tee. Some charts list the width of the flat garment and some list the body measurement, so check which one it is.

Decide how you want it to fit

Do you like it fitted, regular or oversized? If you want a loose look, go for a chest width a few centimetres bigger than your usual tee. Our post on oversized vs regular fit explains the difference.

What if you are between sizes?

Think about how you will wear it. If you layer a lot, or like a looser fit, go up. If you like a neat fit, go down. Check the length too, since that changes how the tee sits with your trousers.

What if it does not fit?

Check the store's returns and exchange policy before you order, so you know where you stand. If you are not sure about anything, feel free to message us.

A quick example

Say your favourite tee measures 54 cm across the chest and 70 cm long. Find the size on the chart with the closest numbers. If the next size up is 57 cm across, ask yourself whether you want that extra room. If you do, go up. If not, stay where you are.
