More Amoure, written Ma., is a Manchester elevated streetwear brand with a social impact mission. We make clothes people actually want to wear, and we give 10 percent of profit to causes.
Where it started
The brand was founded by Dr Roland Gyamfi in Manchester. Roland is a doctor, and More Amoure is his brand. It is built around good clothes and giving back.
What does the name mean?
Amoure points to love, and More Amoure is simply asking for more of it. We shorten it to Ma. because the clothes should be simple and easy to recognise. You can read about the mark in the story of the Ma. wordmark.
What do we make?
Elevated streetwear, which means clean shapes, good basics and details that make a plain piece feel considered. Our range includes:
- Hoodies and sweatpants
- Tracksuits and zip jackets
- T-shirts and bundles
- Caps, socks and small accessories
If you want the longer explanation of the style, read what is elevated streetwear.
Why do we give back?
Giving is built into the brand. We give 10 percent of profit to causes through More Action, our charitable arm. We explain our thinking in why we give 10 percent of profit.
Who supports us?
We are supported by The King's Trust. The full story is in how we started with support from The King's Trust.
Where does MORE LUV come from?
It is our slogan and our sign off. It is a reminder to be kind, to look out for each other, and to treat clothes as more than just something you wear. Our hoodies have also been worn by artists and YouTubers in music videos, which we are proud of.
What is next for Ma.?
We keep making clothes we would wear ourselves, and we keep giving back. We have been working on a knit capsule built around Nyame Dua, an Adinkra symbol from Ghana, sampled in colourways such as cream and green and black and cream. You can learn about the symbol in what is Nyame Dua. If you want to follow along, Instagram is the best place to start, and the shop is always there for a browse.
